CATHOLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS CELEBRATE THE FEAST OF ST. AGNES

January 21, 2020 by Catholic Elementary Schools of Long Island News & Updates Robustly Catholic Culture

On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, students in the Catholic elementary and high schools across Long Island will celebrate the Feast of St. Agnes, patroness of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.  In addition to activities planned within each school, all administrators, teachers, and students prayed to St. Agnes collectively to ask her to bless their work.  St. Agnes is also the patron saint of children.

On Saturday, January 18, 2020, the annual St. Agnes Mass was held at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre.  The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Henning.  Administrators, faculty, students, and families from the Catholic schools across Long Island as well as members of the Department of Education gathered together for Mass.
