Alumni Spotlight: Meet Edward Finan! 👨🎓💡
We are pleased to spotlight Edward Finan, who is an accomplished individual who has made meaningful contributions to the field of education. Edward’s educational journey began at Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook for elementary school, followed by his enrollment at the Saint Pius X Preparatory Seminary in Uniondale, which is now closed. He pursued higher education at Saint John’s University in Jamaica, NY, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, and later obtained a Master of Science in Secondary Education.
Teacher Spotlight: Meet Ms. Regina Parlapiano! 🍎💡
We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Ms. Regina Parlapiano! She’s a dedicated K-3 AIS teacher at St. Patrick’s School in Smithtown. With an impressive 15 years at St. Patrick’s, Ms. Parlapiano brings a wealth of experience to her role. Beyond the classroom, Ms. Parlapiano takes on additional responsibilities such as leading the Child Study Team, and being actively involved in guiding both the Student Council and the National Junior Honor Society.

Alumni Spotlight: Meet Rev. Daniel Griffin! 👨🎓💡
We are pleased to present an alumni spotlight featuring Fr. Daniel Griffin, a distinguished graduate of Holy Name of Mary School in Valley Stream and Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale. Fr. Griffin’s academic pursuits took him on a path of intellectual growth and spiritual formation. He obtained his B.A. in History from Molloy College in Rockville Centre and furthered his theological studies, earning an M.T.S. from Ave Maria University and an S.T.B. from Angelicum: Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas.

This week, we are honored to shine the Teacher Spotlight on Mrs. Christi Abbate. Mrs. Abbate currently teaches third grade at St. William the Abbot in Seaford. She holds a BA in Environmental Planning from SUNY Binghamton University and has earned an MA in General Education and Special Education in Grades 1-6 from Turo University, New York City.
